Romina Oxborough is the Founder and CEO of Maprium, a technology-enabled platform designed to transform how Managed Access Programmes (MAPs) are designed, governed, and delivered across the global life sciences sector.
With over 20 years' experience working with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, Romina brings deep expertise across the full treatment lifecycle, spanning clinical development, managed access, real-world evidence, and global operational delivery. She is recognised as a specialist globally with deep, end-to-end expertise in the design and execution of Managed Access Programmes.
Romina has operated at C-suite level in complex, regulated environments, building and scaling high-performing organisations, launching new service lines, and delivering operational excellence at global scale.
She combines scientific rigour with commercial acumen, leading multidisciplinary teams across Europe and the US, and supporting early-stage and large pharma clients. Her work is characterised by a strong focus on quality, compliance, and execution -- ensuring that strategy translates into reliable, real-world delivery.
Maprium was founded to address long-standing inefficiencies, risk, and fragmentation in MAP execution. Under Romina's leadership, the platform is being built to support compliant, auditable, and scalable access programmes, while improving transparency and decision-making for sponsors and partners alike.
Romina holds a PhD and an MBA, and is widely recognised for her ability to bridge science, technology, and operations. She is also an active mentor and advisor, supporting leadership development and capability building within the life sciences ecosystem.
